Hello there,
So I've been trying, reading and talking about a problem for some hours now and I'm really going crazy here...
When I use logic's I/O plugin and I want a track processed to my outboard compressor i do like this:
1) I put i/o plugin on the track i want to be processed.
2) I choose output 3 and 4 and input 1 and 2.
3) Now i create a new aux, make sure that it says input 1 and 2, and I press R.
4) Now i can record my new track, which has also been processed by my compressor, after recording.
That sounds pretty easy, but my problem is, that when I want to hear what I change, the I/O "plays" the track, so it is like covering the new processed track up. I cant hear what and how much i am processing.
've tried different approaches to this problem, but no luck so far.
I've tried to press "solo safe" mode in, by clicking control and on S.
And when I mute the track it dies completely.
Do anyone have a workaround this problem, It's literally driving me crazyyy!
I found a ref. to the problem here, but that doesnt work for me.
Logic Pro/Express: Solo does not work on channel strips that include an I/O plug-in
