Does RME UCX Preamp really sound this dark?

I did a short test today recording electric guitar via the preamp of my new UCX, and then via my Really Nice Preamp into the line input of the UCX.

What I noticed is that the RME preamp sounds way darker than RNP. Is there really supposed to be as big difference between the two, or does it sound like there is something funny going on here??
