Hello fellow music producers, Maikel here from the Netherlands. Hope one of you out there can help me ?
I want to record guitars in a rehearsal room, so I can crank my 80watt guitar amplifier nice and loud. I then want to load the wav. files into my DAW (Cubase) and work from there .
So I am looking for portable digital recorder which is suitable for this task.
But......
I want to use my Shure sm57 mic to record, so I won't be using the built in mics commonly found on these devices.
Also, I am not going to use any of the sound treatment features or any additional extras you find on these devices. (I do all that in Cubase)
My question: Is there an other device out there on the market which is suitable for my project? Or am I 'stuck' with one of those 'everything on board/field recording ' devices? (Like the Zoom H4N. Which is great , just not for my project?)
