When I throw up a room reverb and run an instrument into it via a Send, I have a bit of trouble getting the room to sit right. When I listen to records where a room reverb is used on any given instrument, the room verb sounds roomy, but 'contained'.
It's like there's too much wideness when I use them, or something. Do you guys use any additional processing on a room reverb or any other reverb for that matter, like EQ or anything to get it to sit right? Room verb is supposed to get things to gel but it kinda does the opposite for me.
