mod sound card or buy 500 preamp/compressors

I'm in a situation now where I really want to get a good sound 90% good from the get go and will need as little mixing as possible with most bang for the buck

i mostly will only record vocal/acoustic guitar for pop/ballad/rock productions

current recording setup is
ADK tt 51 tube mic
Saffire 56

what do you guys think will have the most benefit? needless to say, room is all good
