I'm getting into building pedals now, and its fun as hell. But knowing me and my thirst for knowledge and experiences, I'm going to want more after a while.
I like the SCA preamps, but I don't like the price. having to buy the whole enclosure and power supply as well as the preamp itself is kind of a dealbreaker to my budget. Looking at almost a grand just to get started with one channel of audio.
Is there anything out there, possibly another mic preamp, thats more affordable, possibly sub $500?
