Merry Christmas Everyone, i wanted to share this with you today. I'm not really the biggest Prince fan at all, but ive had this video bookmarked for some time.
The song and this particular show is without doubt the most moving musical performance I’ve ever seen, and I don’t say that lightly! The Recording is poor and the video is amateurly shot. However this does not detract from the immense genius that is Prince’s crowning achievement Purple Rain.
The song itself has helped me in the hardest of times through out the years, and one thing that i find compelling about this video is even today on Christmas Eve, i find healing and power in it. Something that can not truly be explained or understood. A lot of my friends hate it, and him. I however know better, There is no greater living artist alive today.
