make a Huge Sub Bass for Techno ?

been listening some of the new Techno and Tech House track , and seems that they are using a Sub for the Bass only . and a kick . just wanted to know how could i achieve this kind of Bass and also how i could make it sit on the mix with my kick .
i see here that they are not using little or no SC at all . this is the example
