Hello guys !
I'm moving in a new house very soon, and I will have a dedicated room for my mastering studio.
I have attached a drawing of the room. I don't have the exact dimensions for the moment, but from what I measured with my foots, it's approximately 4 meters wide and a little bit above 6 meters long.
Speakers are PMC MB1 powered by a 2x700W Hypex amplifier.
I don't care about isolation, it wont be a problem there, so acoustical treatment only.
Since the PMC have a very large and powerfull low-end, my plan (since i'm mostly mastering electronic music which need extreme care and attention to the bottom part) is to over absorb on 5 parts (4 walls and a cloud for the ceiling), with 50 to 80 cm of mineral wool (if I understood correctly the porous absorber calculator, the fluffy stuff would be the best for those depths), to control the best I can the low-end, and then put some slat (newell sequence or MLS) on all the fake walls to put back some liveness in the room.
I have approximated the total budget to 2000-2500 €, here in france.
What do you think about it ? any ideas to improve ?
Keep in mind that it's a rented house, and in the basement, so my framing will be glued to the ceiling and the floor, and all the rest will be attached to that framing, so I will not degrade the room.
