So I finish school this summer, and I'm taking a year out before going on to university. My original plan was to go somewhere like SAE or Full Sail and do a course there instead of uni, but I've been advised against that by almost everyone...so I'm interested in doing a shorter course during my year out.
I'd be grateful if people could point me in the right direction...ideally I'd like to spend part of the year on a course, and the other part working in a studio...are there any courses that would make me more "employable" as an intern in a studio? which courses are the most respected ones?
Right now I'm looking at this: LSS - the Art & Science of Mixing. That's the type of thing I'm interested in, but I'm not sure whether it's intensive enough...and I don't want to book a course without looking at all the options.
Will studios even care about whether I have a certification from a course or not? Will it help me land an internship at all?
Thanks in advance for any help.
