I've been looking around for a good 61 or beyond weighted keyboard for my Mainstage centric system I'm putting together and so far I have not found anything to my liking. However, the Yamaha P-105 digital piano has an excellent keyboard, 88 keys, weighted properly, low end harder to hit. As a bonus the built-in sounds are really great. And it has USB-MIDI output.
I need to investigate more, for example if I could have both USB-MIDI working at the same time as the built-in sounds so I could mix and match sounds via a mixer and so on. As a bonus if the laptop crashes, I could still generate sounds. Anyway, has anyone else used P-105s for stage use? What's the verdict? Sturdy enough to take around? Issues?
