I have an SSL alpha link AX (light pipe version) and the outputs for channels 1-8 are not working. It is producing a very hot signal which max out the meters on my soundcraft Ghost board. I am unable to pass audio through. It is currently slaved to my RME 9652 HDSP PCI card. Channels 9-24 I/O work fine as well as 1-8 Inputs.
I have tried the following steps to isolate the problem but still get the same results:
Cables – Swapped cables (DB25 snake and adat cable) from the channels 9-16 (which I tested)
Checked in RME totalmix that the RME 9652 is outputting audio
Verified that the Ghost is working properly b/c it works fine for SSL output channels 9-24. For testing I was just channels 1 and 2 on the ghost.
I am not sure what else to try besides making the Alpha Link as the Master clock.
Any insight or help is appreciated
